MHHC's Department of Public Safety is charged with ensuring the security of all Morningside Gardens residents as well as the protection of Corporation property. This is accomplished with a propriety staff of Deputized Peace Officers, members of the New York City Special Patrolman's Program, all licensed by New York State and trained by the Municipal Police Council, as well as CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) first responders trained in the use of PAD's (Public Access Defibrillation), which are located throughout the property.
The Department of Public Safety is maintained on property twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred and sixty-five days a year along with a state of the art video surveillance system.
